In the Open Society Foundations release that named Malloch-Brown president, George Soros said: “I have known and worked closely with Mark for more than three decades, from supporting opposition to the Pinochet regime in Chile, to bringing relief to the people of Sarajevo and Bosnia, to setting up the International Crisis group together.” Soros added that Malloch-Brown “is deeply familiar with Open Society’s work and shares my vision of a political philanthropy that is focused and prepared for the future.” Those are Soros’s sentences on an OSF page.
The International Crisis Group’s board page lists Mark Malloch-Brown / Lord (Mark) Malloch-Brown as founder and chairman emeritus, with former UN and OSF titles. Washington Examiner, 28 May 2007, Claudia Rosett, reported a rental on a Soros estate while he ran UNDP and later work for Soros; that is labeled reporting, not a court. This page does not invent a 2007 Quantum Fund contract it cannot open. The OSF and ICG lines are enough for the relationship as the principals stated it.
